Meet the face behind Coastal Waves Social Media Management

Hello there,

My name is Nyabie, founder of Coastal Waves Social Media Management and Marketing. I live on Phillip Island with my husband and two children. Before settling here, I lived in several areas across the country.

I was born in South Sudan, moved to Kenya at a young age and relocated to Australia in the early 2000s. After high school, I went to university and studied a teaching degree. During the COVID-19 pandemic, I completed my postgraduate studies in psychology.

I founded Coastal Waves SMM&M during maternity leave with my second child to create a flexible work-life balance. I also saw an opportunity to help local businesses on Phillip Island to improve their online presence. My goal is to help local businesses increase their visibility, boost engagement and generate leads.

As founder of Coastal Waves, I believe the best way to support businesses on social media is to stay authentic to the business’s values and to highlight what makes them unique.
